Sautéed Green Beans with Garlic and Lemon


1 pound green beans, trimmed and then parboiled for three minutes
2 tablespoons extra light olive oil
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
½ tablespoon garlic, chopped
1 tablespoon lemon zest, chopped
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice


Serves 4

Pour the oil in a sauce pan and cook over high heat, add the red pepper flakes and cook until the oil starts to sizzle.

Add the parboiled green beans and stir well cooking for two minutes then add the chopped garlic and stir two more minutes.

Now add the lemon zest stir well and cook one more minute.

Lastly add the lemon juice and cook until most of it has evaporated, about two minutes. Salt and pepper to taste. We are ready to serve.
