In season two, Nick travels down memory lane to revisit dishes inspired by his childhood in Sicily and his adventures in the United States. During lively food preparations in his Los Angeles home, Nick brings Italian classics to life through detailed step-by-step instructions and easy-to-follow techniques. As a seasoned chef with a passion for recipes, Nick highlights an ingredient and sometimes a cooking utensil, and then expertly describes how each connects to his Sicilian culture and to Italian cuisine.

Each episode revolves around a theme, and the theme is explored in candid moments and lively preparations captured in his Los Angeles home. Nick highlights an ingredient (the artichoke!) and sometimes a cooking utensil (the spoon!) and then expertly weaves how each connects to his experience in Sicilian culture, the appeal of Italian cuisine and his perspective as a seasoned chef with a passion for the details that make a great meal.

Chef and cookbook author Nick Stellino celebrates his landmark 20th year on public television with the second season of his series, COOKING WITH NICK STELLINO. Season two continues Nick’s long-standing practice of sharing delicious recipes inspired by the traditions of his native Italy. With the home cook in mind, he demonstrates easily recreated dishes — from savory soups to authentic pasta dinners to delectable desserts — in a step-by-step fashion. Nick’s charm, warmth and humor shine through as he shares tips and techniques learned in his family’s kitchen.
Thirteen new half-hour episodes emphasize simple, rustic Italian dishes packed with flavor, including Sicilian bread soup, linguine with red clam sauce, veal Saltimbocca, pasta alla Carbonara, Grandma’s polenta, and ossobuco. Nick also puts his stamp on biscuits and gravy, lobster mac and cheese, crab cakes, and other classic American dishes. In 1995, Stellino launched his first series, Cucina Amore, and followed it with five seasons of the APT-distributed series Nick Stellino’s Family Kitchen and two seasons of Nick Stellino Cooking With Friends.
